Let's break this down,okay?//In this book it has been explicitly stated that yes,they had an affair and yes,they consumated their relationship.It has also been said that her sister in law didn't approve of her because of her low socio economic status.These two misfits found each other and created their own world.She was his muse.He was her companion.The others soon found about this affair and decided to keep it hush hush.It was decided that Rabindranath will be sent to London in the pretext of studying law whereas it was just a ploy to keep these two star crossed lovers apart.He declined the offer first time but was made to go the second time.After returning,they continued their dalliance like no time had passed in the between.But everything that has a beginning,has an end.After the marriage of Rabindranath,he pulled away from Kadambari.Whether it was out of loyalty,love for his wife or just because he lost interest,we would never know.On top of this,Kadambari found a love letter in her husband's pocket.That was the last nail to the coffin.After that,her decision was made.The lonely lady took her own life.Her suicide note was destroyed 127 years ago.The writer created this book using his own imagination.We can't say it is historically accurate.However,we can't also say it's historically inaccurate.I guess some truths are better left unknown.

রবীন্দ্রনাথের মেজ'দা জ্যোতিরিন্দ্রনাথ ঠাকুর এর স্ত্রী কাদম্বরী দেবী, যিনি আত্মহত্যা করেছিলেন। মূলত সেই আত্মহত্যার সময় তিনি সুইসাইড নোট লিখেন কিন্ত এটি আবার সুইসাইড নোট নয় এটিকে বলা হয় সুদীর্ঘ চিঠি, যেই চিঠি লিখেছিলেন কাদম্বরীদেবী। তিনি পরিবারের সবার কাছ থেকে অবহেলার শিকার হয়েছিলেন কিন্ত একজন ব্যাক্তি বাদে যিনি ছিলেন আমাদের "রবীন্দ্রনাথ ঠাকুর"। কিন্ত রবীন্দ্রনাথের বিয়ে হবার পরে তিনিও তার থেকে দূরে সরে যান যার ফলে তিনি আত্মহত্যার পথ বেছে নেন। রবীন্দ্রনাথ তাকে নতুন বোঠান বলে ডাকতো। তিনি ছিলেন রবীন্দ্রনাথের যেকোনো লিখা কবিতা বা গানের প্রথম শ্রোতা। বইটি আমার কাছে যদিও ভালো লাগেনি তবে আপনাদের কাছে ভালো লাগতে পারে আর বইটি পড়লে জানতে পারবেন যে রবীন্দ্রনাথ কতো রোমান্টিক ব্যাক্তিত্বের অধিকারী ছিলেন
