In this book, Sajid gives much logic against the rationalizations of atheism. This book is a vigilant and powerful means of breaking down the evil forces of disbelief and disdain against Islam. Its main goal is to establish true and concrete faith in Allah, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the fundamental principles of Islam. Even though it wants to establish Islamic faith, non believers can also read it to comprehend the basic nature of Islam and its main ideas in a concise and short format. This book is a series of arguments against atheist concepts against Islam which have been given the structure of stories in the light of science. Unfortunately Bangladeshi Muslims are not usually knowledgeable in science and philosophy if they want to reply to the challenges thrown by atheists. Hence this book is very helpful for us Muslims. This book can be an essential guide to debunk the challenges that atheists regularly use to attack Muslims and Islam in general. It is a vital means to ward off the evil that atheism has posed against the peaceful religion Islam. A lot of Islamic lessons are incorporated into the stories in order to disprove and invalidate the challenges of the atheists. Teachings, excerpts and verses from The Holy Quran and Hadith of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) are well discussed. The writer talks about the fact that although Allah is a kind creator He also punishes his servants if it is deemed necessary. I love this logic. This has satisfied me. The book approaches Islamic concepts from a scientific perspective. It picks scientific research studies and theories to validate Islamic shariah laws. The chapter on DNA explanation and evolution are well crafted. Evidence of a designer of life or Allah has been well illustrated. The writer uses strong arguments for the protagonist to defeat the antagonists. In this case the protagonist is Sajid and the antagonists are the atheists trying to validate their personal logic. Whenever they try to bring forward one of their evidences or justifications, Sajid immediately cuts them off and puts forth a totally different yet relevant line of reasoning. Sajid knows practically everything although he was just a university student which was quite unbelievable. He has knowledge on a myriad topics such as philosophy, art and architecture, other religions, physics, astronomy and geography to name a few. That seemed quite impossible to achieve for a young guy who studied in university. This is a book that you see everywhere and everyone is talking about it nowadays. From roadside book vendors to hawkers to posh book shops this book is a staple everywhere. It makes you feel good that even a few years ago when people used to imitate Himu and Shuvro who are the famous characters crafted by Humayun Ahmed, nowadays young men want to be more like Sajid and less like Himu. This is very inspiring and enlightening. This brings about a breath of fresh air. There are paradoxes in philosophy which have been discussed in the book. These are extremely interesting, I mean who does not want to discuss and ponder about paradoxes? Those are brain candy and make you think because both sides of the coin may be true. Paradoxes discussed in the book were one of its most compelling aspects. When the book involves Sajid talking about science and physics or astronomy, I feel intrigued and interested. The fact that the book sheds light on science while talking about Islam was amazing thought food. Although Sajid says those things discussed in the book, those are actually the author Arif Azad’s own thoughts. It can be categorized as a non-fiction book. The author probably fact checked all the grounds and gave appropriate references throughout and at the end of the book. I have read and reread this amazing book and really enjoyed my reading journey with this book. It is one of those page turning books that can keep you riveted to the pages and does not let go after pulling you in. If you start once, you cannot get up without finishing it at one go. It is a book that you would love to finish in one sitting. But since it is such brain candy, you would want to read only one or two chapters at a time and come back for more later on. Sometimes there are some compelling chapters that you would want to revisit for a more immersive experience. The fact that humans’ evolving from monkeys or chimpanzees is widely glorified by western scientists and media has been brought to attention. Sajid argues that humans originated from our ancestor Prophet Adam (PBUH) according to the Quran which is one of the fundamental beliefs in Islam and is theoretically correct. But western scientists have gathered “proof” that humans and monkeys have a common ancestor which is not factually correct which has been rationalized in the book. However, a few flaws in the book have been observed. Sajid argues that no missing link has been found between humans and monkeys. This is not entirely correct. Although as a devout Muslim I believe humans’ ancestor was human also, scientists did find evidence of evolution, missing link and first human who resembled a monkey. Hence I guess the author did not do enough fact checking while writing about this particular segment of the book. The author has out rightly disputed the claims of notable personalities like Richard Dawkins which the eminent scientist included in his famous books. This was a very audacious move made by the author Arif Azad. This book’s language is very simple, natural and smooth. It is very easy to understand and no flowery or difficult words have been used. It is a regular habit among people that whenever somebody talks about knowledge and science they don’t want to pay attention. Hence the author tried to write a book in an accessible language so that the thoughts could be transmitted to every reader out there. Arif Azad did not resort to traditional lecture or theorizing methods. He has tried to explain the logical things in the form of stories which would not usually bore even an impatient reader. Since the book is very page turning it will grow a reading habit among beginners and non readers. In this book, every story has an interesting introduction revolving around Sajid, the protagonist. Sometimes Sajid can be seen in a battle of words with one of his old friends, sometimes they are trying to reminisce a nice memory, or at other times they are dealing with something very serious and grave. You won’t feel bored, disgusted or irritated reading the difficult discussions and hypothesis which have been presented in a really simple format. The book is a combination of informed and speculative perceptions and also refreshing enjoyment.
