অনুবাদের মান তেমন ভালো না

"Have just finished reading. This is a translation of five lectures of P. D. Ouspensky on "The Psychology of Man's Possible Evolution". A less explored topic is attempted to translate. Reading the translation, I feel the essence of the original texts well kept intact. A careful workmaship in translation is observed all over. It is smooth reading for the translator used comprehensive language. This book is all about the levels of wakefulness and sleeping that we live within in our daily waking lives. When I read this book I was relieved that it had been well expressed. In this book, the psyche is “the soul or spirit” and psychology the means of human evolution to a higher level of awareness and being. This is not what is being taught in schools, as Ouspensky points out. He postulates that there is a “true self” one must get to know. However, we will not advance until we acknowledge that we are machines. We must undo our machine-like ways before we can become free. This freeing from the hard-wiring of our natures is possible through inherent abilities to not only comprehend and envision, but to turn these into action." -Raj Mondol
